Demo 7 - Student certificate

School Scenario:

  • The teacher wants to create a certificate for students.

  • The teacher needs to make several individual certificates with the same template.

How to automate this process with Fillable Slide

Student certificate

Step 1: Prepare the Student Certificate Template

  • The teacher first prepares a Student template in Google Slide.

  • Can add dynamic fields in ${field} format

Step 2: Configure the Dynamic Fields

  • Open Fillable Slide on the prepared Google Slide Template.

  • Dynamic fields found in the template will be automatically identified by Fillable Slide.

  • By default, the field types are text.

  • Configure different types (name, percentage, etc) and other configurations as required.

Step 3: Configure Settings

Go to the settings tab and configure the destination folder and spreadsheet here.

  • Setup the destination spreadsheet to store the form submissions.

  • Setup the destination folder to store the generated slides and PDFs.

  • Setup the Email Template so that the Teacher can send PDFs to students with the required custom message.

Step 4: Publish Document

  • The Teacher will publish the template to his staff by clicking Publish Form.

  • If you don't want to keep track of user activity (like user email) switch off Always ask Google login before publishing in Publish settings.

Step 5: Staff submitting data in the Form

  • If the student need certificate he/she can click the certificate.

Step 6: Submitted Data stored in Google Sheet instantaneously.

  • Teachers can see the submitted data in the Google sheet immediately.

Student certificate_config

To see the submitted records, the Manager needs to follow the following steps below.

  1. Open the "Fillable Slide" add-on from the Google Document.

  2. Click on "Open Web Form"

  3. Click on the "Form Responses" icon on the toolbar.

  4. Click on a record to select for generating the slide.

5. Click on "Generate" to generate the merged slide.

The Teacher can generate multiple slides based on records needed. (have a look)

The Teacher can send the generated document as Email by clicking on "Send as Email".
