Date and Time Field Types

The Date and Time field types includes

  • Date

  • Time

Date Field Type

Date Field Type enables Forms to collect Date formats from user.

Setup a Date Field


  • Click Create New Field to create a new field.

  • Mention the required field name.

  • Check / Uncheck Show as a placeholder if required.

  • Select the type as Date.

  • Switch on mandatory if the field needs to be made mandatory.

  • Set the default value as Current date or Custom date or none.

  • Switch on Read-only if required so that the field does need not be filled. Also you can assign a particular field mapping to it using look up field type.

  • Enter the description as required.

  • Check / Uncheck Show as tooltip if required.

  • Switch on Custom CSS if required.

  • Switch on Generate QR code to generate QR code.

  • Switch on Mark as quiz field if you need to mark the field as quiz field.

  • Select the required timezone.

  • Select the required Date format.

  • The current Date Output will be displayed below.

  • Click on Insert field in Document icon to insert the particular field into the document.

  • Click Save to Save the field.

  • Click the Back to field list to go back.

How does it appear in Generated Documents?

The generated output document looks like the following

Date validation:


  • Select the required field type as Date.

  • Switch on the Date Validation to validate the dates.

  • The date validation has 2 types of validations.

    1. From Date

    2. To Date

  • Each validation has 2 options to select the dates.

    1. Date:

      • Selected the Date and select a date from the date picker provided below.

2. Current Date:

  • Selected the Current Date and specify in numbers how many additional dates you want from the current date.

  • past dates can also be selected by using negative numbers in the current date. (Applies to From Date only)


  • Example:

    • From date is 27/11/2022.

    • To date is current date(27/11/2022) + 2 days = 29/11/2022.

How does it look in Form?

The output form looks like the following:

  • Only shows the dates between the date validation and other dates are disabled.

  • Selected the date between the date validation

Time Field Type

  • Select the required Time format.
