Signature Field

Fillable document can provide Signature Field where user can affix their signatures on the document.

User can provide signature in three ways

  • Text Signature
  • Upload Signature Image
  • Draw Signature

How to add signature field inside Fillable Document?

Let's have an example of invoice template document where we need to capture the customer signature on it.

  • Open Google Document
  • Open Fillable Document from add-on menu
  • Click on Demo and choose Invoice Demo
  • After demo setup is completed click on explore.
  • Next add new signature field inside document template with ${} sign and click on the refresh.
  • Click on the Signature field from the Field List.
  • Setup the field type as Signature and set up asset folder if not already set (signatures will be stored inside the Asset folder).
  • Save the field.
  • Open the web app and start filling the form.
  • Click on the Signature image to add signature to the document
  • You can add signature as Text or Image or Draw(Signature Pad)

Types of adding Signature

1. Text

  • Choose this option if you want to add your name as signature
  • You can apply font styles, Colour and thickness to your signature
  • Click on Sign to apply it on your document.

2. Image

  • Choose this option if you want to upload image as signature.
  • You can choose image from Drive and Local Storage.
  • Click on Sign to apply it on your document.

3. Signature Pad

  • You can also sign your document with free hand signature using Signature Pad
  • Hold and Move your mouse on signature pad to draw the signature
  • Click on Sign button to apply the signature on the document form
  • Click on the Generate button the generate the document.
  • See the generated document file below.
