What is Publish Form?

Publish Form is feature where user can create fillable document and publish it to end users for submitting and generating documents.

Two modes of Publish Form

  1. Publish Form as a Logged In user (asks for google login before submitting form).
  2. Publish Form as a Anonymous User (logging in as a anonymous and submitting form).

How do I publish fillable document in Logged In mode?

  • Open Fillable Document add-on in your Google Document
  • Click on "Publish Form" icon
  • A "Publish Form" dialog GUI will appear
  • Keep the "Anonymous Link" option switched off
  • Click On Sharing Tab.
  • Click on "Publish Form" button.
  • Copy/Share the generated Logged In URL.

How do I publish fillable document in Anonymous mode?

  • Open Fillable Document add-on in your Google Document
  • Click on "Publish Form" icon
  • A "Publish Form" dialog GUI will appear
  • Switch on "Anonymous Link" option.
  • Click On Sharing Tab.
  • Click on "Publish Form" button.
  • Copy/Share the generated anonymous URL.

Publish Form Settings

Publish form settings are the actions that need to be happen automatically when end users submits the form.

  • To enable publish form settings click on Settings Tab
  • User can set four different actions on published form.
  1. Store Form Responses(default) : Saves the form responses into specified destination spreadsheet.
  2. Generate Document : Generate document automatically once form is submitted.
  3. Generate PDF: Generate PDF automatically once form submitted.
  4. Send Email(s) : Send email(s) automatically once form is submitted.

How I can monitor users actions?

Published owner can track the end users actions by monitoring their "Form Responses" or "Destination spreadsheet".

Once end user submitted the form the form responses will stored inside owners destination spreadsheet with Fillable Status as Scheduled.

After automatic document/PDF is generated Fillable Status will be set to Generated.(if Generate Document is enabled inside Publish Settings).

After automatic email is sent Fillable Status will be set to Delivered.(if Send Email(s) is enabled inside Publish Settings).

After document/PDF is generated and email is sent Fillable Status will be set to Generated,Delivered.(if Generate Document,PDF and Send Email(s) is enabled inside Publish Settings).
